When evaluating substantial change in circumstances for maintenance modification, the appropriate comparison is to the set of facts that existed at the time of the most recent maintenance order, whether that is the original divorce or a previous modification order. The court is not bound to reinstate the amount of maintenance in the original judgment of divorce.
